No there isn't. I'm married to a trophy wife. At least I think she is. :D
I've never called her that, but I have heard a couple of friends use that term which is fine with me. Just means they are jealous is all. ;)

I guess it all depends on a person's definition of trophy wife, doesn't it Rhertz? There are trophy wives and then there are TROPHY WIVES.

Well I think one component in this picture is the husband. If the guy is poor, then his wife isn't a trophy wife no matter how good looking. But if she is good looking and has a rich hubby, then she could be trophy wife material. I'm not rich, but sometimes I can fake it pretty good. Therefore the mistake has happened once or twice only even though my wife is very pretty. (nothing against her) :D

Yes rhertz you nailed it. Money talks and empty bank accounts walk  you can not be first only next ;) law of the jungle.

You know I like to watch the swimsuit part of a pageant. I just do not understand the kiddie pageants and how much the parents push their children to win and the kids are just trying to please the parents :nono:

I don't remember kiddie pageants when I was little, but then again I'm a boy so maybe I didn't notice. We did have "talent shows" which were for both boys and girls and I think those are a fun experience for everyone.

I agree with your point. We all know men oggle over the girls in Miss Universe and Miss Teen USA pageants which I ok since they are 18 and over. But dressing up pre-teens like they were adults and putting them on stage is just wrong IMHO. Maybe it is good for their esteem and other benefits that I won't argue, but unfortunately there are too many creeps in this world that tend to ruin things for everybody.

You must have gone to a private school  Talent shows ? So Gay  Do your kids go to private school ?

Pocahontas 06-21-2007 03:12 PM

That's funny because I went to private school and we couldn't wait til the annual talent show! It was fun! Some people were serious trying to sing, play an instrument or dance. Then there were some who were crazy and would do skits such as the Cone Heads go shopping with actual footage of them shopping in full costumes!

Captain Shreve had talent shows. Didn't you witness Valerie Bertinelli's infamous singing gig?? This would have been around 1979 or 1980. Bogan used to threaten to play the tape if his class acted bad! :D

Other acts that day was band that played Pink Floyd's "Another brick in the wall".. LOL, I don't think the teachers liked that song much.

"Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!"
