Yes, Long Distance carriers are phone companies, not trucking companies. I know nothing about the trucking industry.

Thank you I was not sure what you were talking about. I don't know the names of those companies you were talking about so that's why I didn't know they were long distance phone carriers. Sorry.

Thanks Joe for the clarifications. I should know better than to drop "industry jargon" onto a non-industry board. It's just that Cingular and "Bell" really get under my skin, and I should learn not to rant about it. Here is a good site though, for anyone interested in Bell bashing...
