We got lucky. I really think the Vols outplayed us. Were it not for the interception run back for a TD it would have been a different game. Ainge was his own worst enemy late in the game, and our best friend. Some dropped passes by them didn't hurt, and Lafell had a surprisingly good game as did Perrilloux.

Perrilloux did not have a good game. The interception saved the game. The defense won the game. Sugar Bowl for LSU ? Sure looks like it.

I disagree. For only his second start I think Perrilloux showed some major assets. He can throw the ball a lot harder than Fynn, so I think it will open up the passing game some so that LSU has a more balanced threat. LSU's defense was pitiful, especially the line. Ainge got sloppy at the end and we capitalized on that.

I think Perrilloux is a great athlete but when he is under the gun well :rolleyes:we will see in the Sugar Bowl if he gets to play. Les better have his game hat on that day. Who will they play Ohio ? I am still trying to get into College Football the rules are different and there is NO Super Bowl that sux ! Need payoffs in College ball ! Oh and the Zebras in college are not the sharpest tools in the shed either.

No way, this was the first game in a while that we've actually played like we should (except our offensive line) and totally dominated the other team, especially in the first half. The only thing that kept the score that close was our quarterbacks' obvious inexperience. He reminds me of Rohan Davey, who had a lot of talent but no discipline or experience. In fact, this game reminded me a lot of the LSU/Arkansas game his sophomore year.

Totally dominated??? What game were you watching? Might I remind you that we were losing 7-6 at the end of the first half. Our defense was getting pounded-in the air and on the ground. Their offensive line manhandled us all night!

I agree that our quarterback's inexperience was a huge negative. I worry, too, that he may not have enough candlepower to learn the offense and read defenses.

I think Perrilloux will freak out under the gun. Pocket does not need to collapse for him to want to scramble. Get hurt real quick that way. LSU will need to have their running game up for the last game. Will the other QB be back by then to play ?? I WILL BE PULLING FOR LSU IN THE SUGAR BOWL ! I think Les staying says alot for the team and the man. GO TIGERS ;)
