Stelly Bill

The legislature is about to review this heinous bill. The chances of them repealing it are zero, but we have a chance for some major change in this state, finally. This is one of the worst bills to ever pass. I did not no I was rich untill this thing hit. With a little leverage from us (taxpayers) we could affect how this plays out. I for one am tired of paying more in state taxes than federal. If anyone is intersted I can post info on how to contact your legislator via email or phone. It's time for a change and it us up to us (working folks) to make it happen.

What is the bill about?

purpahurl 05-02-2007 08:24 PM

bill

This bill exchanged state sales tax on food and utilities for not being able to itemize anything on your taxes. This does not include parish or federal taxes on anything. You cannot deduct mileage, daycare, medical, home equity, mortgage, anything. You'll see May 15th. It has been in action for 4 years. The state has more money now than it ever has and they refuse to give any back.

you seem a bit slow, there's a post on this all ready, and it's called the Stelly Plan, not bill.

plus you don't really know what you're talking about
