This is a picture of Hearne's on Texas St. next to Woolworth's in 1966. This picture is facing North. The steeple in the background is the old First Baptist Church before they moved over to Ockley. The picture is taken during a parade, probably Holiday in Dixie. The train is a children's ride but I forget who sponsored it (Shriners?)

Here is my very first historic photo to contribute to the Historic Photos Group. I hope I can dig up a few more.

Oh I forgot to mention that the Hearne's were my God parents... :D
