Nebraska Democratic State Senator Ernie Chambers has decided to go straight to the top in an effort to stop natural disasters from befalling the world.
The suit asks for a "permanent injunction ordering Defendant to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats."

Well I think this guy needs not to hold office. He better worry about the men with a white coat and paded rooms.:laugh::laugh:

That's our tax dollars at work.....Where do Senate paychecks come from anyway? The State? The Feds? It would be comforting to know this might not be MY tax dollars at work this time. Let Nebraskan's vote for and then pay for "their man".

I think it's a PR scam. He just wants attention and to get his name in the news.

A legislator who filed a lawsuit against God has gotten something he might not have expected: a response.
State Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha said he sued God last week to make a point about frivolous lawsuits.
One of two court filings from "God" came Wednesday under otherworldly circumstances, according to John Friend, clerk of the Douglas County District Court in Omaha.
"This one miraculously appeared on the counter. It just all of a sudden was here -- poof!" Friend said.
Now what is Chambers going to do?:D:D:D

God's response

"Defendant denies that this or any court has jurisdiction ... over Him any more than the court has jurisdiction over the wind or rain, sunlight or darkness.

I wonder..??

I do not think they could find anyone for the job. If they did he or she did not even make it to the door.
