Our tax dollars at work thanks to corrupt Keith
Keith Hightower was a car salesman and I would guess that he is back to selling cars again for Charlton Holmes. He sure left his mark on Shreveport and we will be paying for this mistake for a very long time. I know they should go up on property taxes and that will fix the problem. When they where building that mess they would not let the city vote on it just like when they go up on taxes. I hope Glover will just stick to the small entitlements.

That convention center seems like a huge Cluster@#$@3.
and I have to say that hotel is one ugly looking thing. I can only imagine what kind of 'lovely' view there is from the Hotel 'Hightower' ??? |
Ya know, if they had built the Convention center and Hotel in south Shreveport (right next to Holmes Honda for instance), and filled it with merchandise and food, then maybe it would be a better success. Likewise if the convention center was more like CenturyTel in nature, but with a hotel attached, then maybe we could out-do Bossier for once. But no, we had to build it in a high crime area a mile south of a stink rendering plant. Why? So we can host the lawn and garden and gun and knife and boat shows?
I say convert the whole thing to a sports and concert arena and bring in a Shreveport team of some sort. (after capping the lid on that stink plant) |
That is the first good idea I have heard
