The Rev. Jerry Falwell, the television evangelist who founded the Moral Majority and used it to mold the religious right into a political force, died Tuesday shortly after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University. He was 73.

There is a difference in believing Jerry Falwell was an ass, and believing that all Evangelists are therefore the same. That is like saying because Bin Laden is an ass, then all Arabs must be the same.

I just don't see where using Jerry Falwell's death as an opportunity to bash all Evangelists in a general sense is a good thing to be doing here in the bible belt, especially when there are sites in Iran where that sort of thing is much more popular and acceptable.

Just as soon as you move to communist China where free speech is forbidden.

I might not like or agree with Falwell, but that doesn't mean that I'm a low level stereotyper who then thinks all "men of the cloth" are bad/wrong.... Had you posted a Slayer song against Falwell, (or one that you had thoughtfully written yourself) I doubt I would have cared to response. But you took the opportunity to post a pot shot that your average Iranian might post (as i have demonstrated) in a completely stereotypical nature.

Your post was not meant as a comment toward the news but rather it was a mean spirited and inciteful push of the proverbial relgious button, as your above quote demonstates. (and as Slayer intended I'm sure) Yep, it is only a matter of time before you abuse the privledge and this thread gets closed for "drifting" off topic.
