Lawmakers Propose Ultrasounds Before Abortions

This would be a very good thing. If a mother can look at her unborn child and see the child kicking and moving around they will know that when they have a abortion they are killing another human and that will stop some of the killings. :nono: They should make it mandatory that the fetus has a death certificate too. Here is your link.

Hmm...this is a topic that I have no experience in. I suppose it would help some cases change their minds. But reversely, some cases may be reminded of why they chose to abort anyway. I really can't make any educated opinions on this issue.

If that helps curb abortions, imagine what mandatory AIDS testing would do for the current epidemic.

I believe abortion is murder (for reasons that have nothing to do with Jesus) but I also believe it is a net benefit for the nation. Requiring an ultrasound is a bad idea, it's a waste of money to save a few lives that probably aren't going to be worth a damn, anyway.

In a perfect world abortion would be illegal and people that wanted them would be provided with illegal, backalley ones that not only killed the kid, but rendered the mother at least sterile, hopefully dead.

It is good to know your reasons have nothing to do with Jesus

Joe I sure would not won't to mistake you for a Christian thank you for adding that to your post. I do agree with the rest of your post. What could be more defenseless than a unborn child ? The people that do these murders should be held responsible for their "choice" !

When was I ever mistaken for a Christian?

Joe, that is a rather cynical view of life. Every human should have a chance at life and should be looked at as a gift, not as a utility.

I know the ultrasound would help save lives, especially with hispanic women who don't speak english. They often go to abortion centers for a pregnancy test or a checkup and the doctors abort the babies without the women even realizing what's going on until it's too late.

Many mothers' hearts are changed when they actually see their baby. They understand the realness of the life inside of them and choose to give that life a chance.

Seriously!? I've never heard of that before. That's just nuts! Do you have any reference links to news articles for that one?

That just screams "urban legend that has no basis in fact."
