Do You Believe In Gun Rights?

They listened while National Rifle Association officials, U.S. Sen. David Vitter and U.S. Rep. and gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal, both of Louisiana, spoke about recent gun legislation and politics.

Isaac-Saxxon 04-05-2007 08:08 AM

Yes I do !

The right to own and use fire arms is one of our greatest legacies. I am sure that Al will be able to be my spokesman on this thread. Take it away Al

I don't care for guns, though I am a crack shot. Personally, I prefer blades, myself. I'm a fairly trained swordsman.

As far as the right to bear arms, I suppose it's ok so long as we start cracking down on gun-related crimes.

Neo 04-05-2007 10:13 AM

Why is it everyone wants more control over things that affect them. How about control over driving licenses. It should be a privilege not right.

Isaac-Saxxon 04-05-2007 01:07 PM

It is a privilege not a right

refugen3 04-05-2007 01:30 PM

why are we even discussing this

As far as I see this issue it's a no brainer! Look at the other counteries that have banned weapons.
That puts the govt. in pretty much complete control, unless they're dealing with the psycho population that will get their hands on weapons anyway.
The best way to control the people is to make sure the sane people cannot fight back!
I use a shotgun myself. If someone intrudes on my property I would like to make sure I don't miss.
Of course I hope I never ever have to come to that......
I also agree with the process "required" in retaining a weapon, there needs to be a few regulations regarding the type of weapons for sale. yada yada yada

Isaac-Saxxon 04-05-2007 01:35 PM

You may want to stick to a shotgun

I do not think you could hit anything with a hand gun  but long as you got those double barrels you are in control.
Isaac

Texasbelle 04-05-2007 02:11 PM

The only people using weapons in an irresponsible fashion are criminals. I intend on retaining the right to keep our guns to defend my home and children against such criminals. Should they choose to try and enter our property and get past Miss Rosie then they will have to meet Smith and Wesson. They will not get past them standing!

Neo 04-05-2007 02:14 PM

This is my rifle, this is my gun. One's for killing, and one's for fun.....:D

S&Ms are great guns. I used one last year while I worked for a security company. Well, I only used it at the range, but it was a very nice weapon. I still prefer my bladers though.

Someone breaking into my home with a gun is likely going to lead with his gun as he walks around. The second he approaches a doorway with me behind it, I'm gonna see his gun-holding hand before he sees me. By then it's all over.

refugen3 04-05-2007 02:38 PM

you maybe right or you may be wrong saxxon

A remington 12ga is what I like.
I've played around with other stuff. I live around hunters and "cowboys", a few ranchers, guns are serious business:D
I'm not big into hurting animals so I stopped the hunting stuff. That's why the shotgun - I figure if the sound doesn't scare someone off and I'm nervous I'd better not take any chances. Of course I'd aim low so they might have a chance at prison;)
I'm always thinking about others.

Neo 04-05-2007 02:45 PM

Isaac where would you aim? I'm guessing the soul...

Isaac-Saxxon 04-05-2007 02:55 PM

try an AR-15 with multiple 30 and 50 round magazines. I'm ready to go the distance. I'm always ready 'cause I live next to the hood where they have had several killings and a stobbin this week alone.

Isaac-Saxxon 04-05-2007 03:27 PM

You must live in Spring Lake

You and Pole should go to the shooting range and practice a bunch in your case I do not know about Joe Pole. Spring Lake is not far from the "line"
Isaac

Neo 04-05-2007 03:34 PM

I call it the thin red line!:mad!:

There is also a tax line.... discrimination at its best (for those across the line and worst for me) The true burden of hard work

Neo 04-05-2007 03:40 PM

These are just a few idiots that give gun rights a bad name.

Thanks Isaac, I appreciate that. What more is there to say, folks, that hasnt been said a thousand times already? If guns are outlawed, only outlaws (and the government) will have guns, and thats just BAD any way ya look at it. There are literally HUNDREDS of laws on the books relating to gun control as it is, we dont need more. But ya see folks, there is an agenda at work here to disarm the citizenry thru legislation and the courts. Its happened everywhere else BUT here, and where ever guns have been banned, crime has skyrocketed, governmental power has been abused, civil rights have evaporated. You people aint stupid, ya know whats at stake. If ya sit on your ass and do NOTHING, one of these days you're gonna wake up and the rights you used to enjoy, the freedoms, this land that you love...itll all just be a memory. Well, they cant have MY guns, I dont give a rat's ass WHAT LAW they pass. And I'm not alone. Theres millions of like-minded people standing behind me, and if they try to take em, theyre gonna pay a very high price...we'll make sure of that. Pretty soon all you folks who are on the fence about this are gonna have to choose sides. Just dont take TOO damn long to make up your minds.

Pocahontas 04-05-2007 07:36 PM

Yes we should be able to bear guns!

I am no pistol packing mama myself, but sure am glad my husband can protect us with his! I know it's been said before but criminals kill innocent people not guns! But watch out I do draw a mean bow and arrow! LOL
