Has anyone heard about this story? Apparently I'm behind on old news.

Yes he is.. the family reports that they believe he was poisoned.

I'm not sure who or what to believe about this story. If half of it is true, I'm surprised there hasn't been more coverage of this story !?

Tuff call on this one

Long shot at best. I have reason to think there is a reason
the national media did not pick up on it ?

My thoughts exactly! I'm not a "news hound" but I am surprised that I have not heard more about this story over the years. I thought maybe its just me........

And just like that (snaps fingers), a litter of conspiracy theorists is born

LOL, did you ever read the John Grisham book "Pelican Brief" where the main character Darby made up a conspiracy theory? :D

I'm certain I did but it was probably long enough ago that I'm a lil rusty. Always was a Grisham fan though, the master of the legal thriller. One of my favorites was the "Street Lawyer" I think, where the main character is in prison at the beginning of the book, along with a group of various other fallen lawyers and judges, and this motley crew more or less holds court INSIDE the penal system. Fascinating!

LOL, I like his books as well. Well in Pelican brief, the main character Darby had a conspiracy theory but it just happened by chance to turn out to be true. Next thing you know, she's got a hit out on her! OK, now I forgot my point! what thread is this? :) Oh yeah, the Shreveport dentist. So I take it you don't believe the story is true?

No, on the contrary, I can smell the stench a country mile away on this dentist murder. This thing stinks to high heaven, and yeah, where the hell are the media and the authorities? Kinda makes one think the order for this hit came down from on high...and at the hands of the pros.

LOL, now you are sounding like a true conspiracy theorist! :D

I wonder.. If we chat about this topic long enough on shreveport.com, will we get poisoned too! Shhh... Maybe we should just drop this topic ;)

Drop it ? heck no. I just find it so completely odd how this story appears to have disappeared off the radar screen.. very odd..

joepole 10-18-2006 08:50 AM

Odd?

Why is it odd? It's a nothing story. It was on the news for a day or two and then faded into nothing because there is nothing to it.

"A guy that says he saw something he probably didn't is dead" isn't really news.

rhertz 10-18-2006 09:44 AM

Yeah but how often to we get a good conspiracy theory right here in our hometown of Shreveport/Bossier?? :D
