Rep. John Murtha, the anti-war congressman

John Murtha is a disgrace to the military. It is sad to see Americans VOTE this guy into office with his socialist agenda. While John Murtha thinks the best thing to do in Iraq is to run from our problems he will be guilty of aiding
the terrorist and get more Americans killed with his lack of backbone.

not familiar with John Murtha? what else has he done besides as you say, think that we should figure out how to get the heck out of Iraq?

For lack of any OTHER SOLUTION.. the best one I've heard of lately, is for us to figure out how to get out of there, and let the Iraqi "people" figure out how to protect their own "freedom" if they truly want it. You sound like you want to call it the "cut and run" plan.. we've been there for a LONG TIME. and it just isn't working.. so if we aren't planning some kind of phased withdrawal, WHAT IS THE PLAN ???

He has been bashing the Vietnam War and Iraq and Afghanistan and his cut our losses and run will do the same thing it did in Vietnam. Think back to the
Huies picking up people off the embassy building and the ones left behind that
where friends of the US troops where that the communist killed with bayonet
and tortured these people. If we show we are not going to support the Iraq
government the same will happen to those left behind that we gave a promise
to support and now sorry for lack of any other solution we are leaving good luck ! Then we will bring the fight back to American soil.

Bashing

>He has been bashing the Vietnam War

Should have been praising it?

I disagree with the guy on most everything politically, but he did volunteer to go to Vietnam and he earned plenty of medals, including two purple hearts, so I'll let him say whatever he wants about the experience.

That was gonna be my question.. but not knowing squat about the Vietnam war, figured I'd stay out of that one.

Isaac-Saxxon 11-15-2006 04:20 PM

Should have been praising it?

Yes he should have. USA broke the back of communism and it was a factor in the wall coming down. Russia has backed every war against the USA and Vietnam was one of big ones. We did not loose the Vietnam war the peoples of Nam still live third world because there leaders take there money and food
and use it for weapons. Murtha is a Benedict Arnold ! Has his hands in the cookie jar for sure. He should throw his medals over the fence like John Kerry.
The USA looks week to the out side world thanks to the bleeding hearts.
The war started with Cain and Able and will consummate with the second advent of Christ. With that said we need to hold the line and fight the good fight until our Lord returns. Never said it would be easy but He gave up His Son for the cause and it was well worth it. Nothing new under the son !

I applaud the serviceman and servicewoman fighting for our country,, However, fighting in a war does not give a person Omnipotent power nor are they all knowing... no matter how much we respect their commitment to our country. It is also does not shield them from corruption, ignorance, or wrong decisions. My opinion, someone who serves our country is supposed to SERVE OUR COUNTRY WITH NOBILITY and INTEGRITY..... NOT CORRUPTION HIDING BEHIND OUR NOBLE SERVICE PEOPLE.

Ignorance

>fighting in a war does not give a person Omnipotent power nor are they all knowing

Nor does it make them ignorant.

>Yes he should have. USA broke the back of communism...

Regardless, it was a poorly-run clusterf%^k from the get-go and most of the decisions were, obvious through the benefit of hindsight, undeniably wrong.

Soviet Communism was destroyed by itself, not by anything we did in Vietnam. The Chinese put way more into Vietnam than the Russkies ever did ad they're the largest expanding economy on Earth.

HA HA oops. That's what I get for trying to post on here while I'm at work.
I meant to ask you a question, but then after searching I realized it was KANSAST I was looking for. I'd be willing to bet I got distracted by the phone or something and submitted too soon. I assure you I did not mean to "sign" as LATENIGHT. Sorry for any confusion.

The question for KANSAST was that I was noticing his posts appear to have a "signature" at the bottom of everyone of his posts, I was wondering if there was a setting for that somewhere ?
