Red River Revel

So anybody make it to the REVEL yet ? sorry to say I haven't. But for me, these festivals are one of the things that makes living in the area worth it..
A festival in OCTOBER... what could be BETTER !

I hope to make it down there a few times before it's over.

KTBS.COM has listed a schedule.. of happenings going on down at the REVEL.

We spent the better part of Sunday down there with the kids, and had a good time. Most of the artists are regulars from years past, so if you liked what you've seen in prior revels, you'll enjoy the faire this year.

As usual, the food is great, as long as your stomach can handle the extra fat/grease. Pack a tube of tums and have a good time.

and by the way, remember the sunscreen if you go during the day. Even on the overcast days a few hours in the sun is enough to give you a pretty decent burn.

All that 'threatening' looking weather yesterday.. I think we got a DROP out by Blanchard way. not even a sprinkle. Yup, could sure use some rain!

YES...YES, go to the Revel..eat drink and be merry...and while you're there, if ya see Liz Swaine, walk up to her and "press the flesh"..I know she'll appreciate it.

Is the Benjy Davis Project any good? My wife and I are new to the area and she heard about them on the radio.

I've never seen them.. but you can check it out for yourself on their website
http://www.bdpmusic.com/main/
they describe the music like so:

Quote:

The skyrocketing Benjy Davis Project took flight in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2001. From humble origins as a folk-rock duo playing tiny clubs, today’s Benjy Davis Project has evolved into an innovative six-piece ensemble with hordes of loyal fans in the South and a burgeoning audience around America. These admirers are drawn to a sound that’s been aptly described both as "collegiate rock with a Southern influence" and "harmony-laden acoustic pop" for its eclectic blend of original material, the innocence and spontaneity of ‘60s rock, and the band’s roots in South Louisiana culture

AmSouth Tower

Nice pictures, but in your description of the AmSouth Tower you say that it was built by CNB and then sold to a series of other banks. This is not the case, it is not currently owned by any bank, but by a private group of investors (including my aunt, which is why I know this in the first place) and has been for over a decade.
