Range and her Austrian and Hungarian colleagues trained a border collie, Guinness, to release a tasty snack by pushing down on a hanging wooden bar with her paw — an action somewhat contrary to normal dog behavior, because dogs generally prefer to move objects with their mouths.

No pepper spray needed ;)

Rosie, the Kuvasz, is currently training to ring her own door bell.

No pepper spray needed!

She may know how to ring Texasbelle but never the door bell. I think a muzzle and a good insurance policy on that wolf would be smart. Why not get a breed of dog that is known for how smart it is over how big of a bite it has  OH that would make to much since !

My pug knows when it is tini-time and begs for a piece of ice. She reasons that it is tini-time the best I can figure, since I try to break up my routine to throw her off. I think it is a combination of the time of day and certain sounds but also I think she senses my need for a martini at that particular moment. How I do not know.....

No need to have to watch a Border Collie because they are always looking to their master for their next job to do. Now this breed called Kuvasz is known for attacking people and being a legal liability and not ranked very high on the IQ list either. I think a muzzle for them would be best in a crowd. Funny   how much we are like our dogs ;)

My Pug just suggested a new business. She thinks I should start a beauty parlor for Pugs called "The Posh Puget" (pronounced Poo-zh-A)

LOL, she's so beautiful!

Dogs don't reason like Humans... they reason like women! ;)

Texasbelle 06-07-2007 05:42 PM

Trust me Anime, Isaac wouldn't show up at Betty Virginia for a showdown with me or the dog! He's sceered!
