Ok, so I say we put our noggins together and try to figure this thing out and help Anime get the money....unless of course one of us beats him there first!....jk

Holiday in Dixie clues

1) Can you find the treasure? Of course you can do it. Twelve hundred fifty dollars -- if you will pursue it. Just have a AmSouth Bank token and multiply the dough, get extra dollars when more stuff you can show.

2) Caddo or Bossier, that's where it's found, on public property but not on the ground. Don't climb or damage, don't cut and don't dig, find it and you will become a bigwig.

3) On to the road, onto the incline, A curious juxtaposition of things you will find.

4) Tell us, oh, tell us, when you think you're near demarcation, so please persevere.

What do you think so far?

what ever the heck that means.

I don't live in the area, but I honestly don't think I could find it. Do they really hide the money or is it a note that you won?

Texasbelle 04-23-2007 07:17 AM

It is a note or certificate that you will find.

I think the initial clue indicates a road taking you uphill perhaps.

Juxtaposition=construction?

Haven't figured out demarction.

I doubt it. Juxtoposition means to be placed side by side. A "curious juxtoposition" as they call it would refer to something a little less typical than construction, I think.

Texasbelle 04-23-2007 08:18 AM

You have to think outside of the box Anime'!!!! Think of some of the roads, things going on around town, etc. I am probably off course but of course I could be on course.

These clues are never crystal clear!

AnimeSpirit 04-23-2007 09:41 AM

I agree. The person who writes them seems to force the rhymes and it skews the clue a little.

My mother is going by textbook definitions of the more obscure words, but I keep reminding her that the person who wrote these clues may not be using the same definition. That's language for you.
