My vote is for Al Swearengen for President and Joepole as Vice President with Sir Isaac as Secretary of Defense. That ought to scare the bejezzus out of Iran! :D

This might work except for Joe...he is too depraved. One Bill Clinton in office was enough!:D

Last night Mr. Pokie and I were flipping channels and got stuck on Andy Griffith for an episode. We got to wondering why NOBODY in Mayberry was married? It's not like they were young and single and still looking. Aunt Bea, Andy, Barney, Gomer, Goober, Thelma Lou, Helen, Howard Sprague, Floyd...the list goes on. Some are dating and widowed but none married. Then we got to thinking about other shows with the same type scenarios.
I Dream of Jeannie, Family Affair, Gunsmoke, Rifleman etc. We thought maybe because they would have to deal with bedrooms. On Dick Van Dyke and Bewitched they were married but showed them in separate beds.
Something to ponder??

Trivia question of the day.. who was the first t.v. couple to be shown sharing the same bed ?

on another subject.. the brady bunch had 6 kids.. who all shared one bathroom, which had NO TOILET.

Also, according to Star Trek, bathrooms and toilets must no longer be necessary in the future.

I do remember that Betty Joe (red head) finally got married to Steve on Petticoat.
As to who shared the first bed LN was it Mr. and Mrs. Brady?

Well.. when I posted the question.. I had thought the answer was Fred and Wilma Flintstones, which started in 1960 I believe. Turns out I was wrong.

Maybe that's why Burt and Ernie did not share a bed on TV.
I would like to see the Beverly Hillbillys again. That show was funny.

Oh wait I do believe we have a married couple! There was indeed a Mrs. Drysdale (the banker's wife) who lived next door! She was snooty and hated the Clampetts. She made cameos with her poodles and pearls!

James Franciscus as Mike Longstreet

Attachment 1800

PREMISE: Mike Longstreet is a a New Orleans insurance investigator recovering from an explosion that killed his wife Ingrid and took his sight. He decides to remain an investigator. With the help from his best friend Duke (who heads the Great Pacific Casualty Company), and aid of braille teacher Nikki and his guide dog Pax, Longstreet tracked down the jewel thieves who murdered his wife, and continued his career as a detective. Bruce Lee had a recurring role in the series teaching Longstreet jeet kune do, a Chinese form of improvisational combat.
