Alternate Website Format

So who here is familiar with different website formats?

I've grown pretty bored with my current setup, not interested in paying for something like VBullentin, and in fact, I thinking about getting away from registered user and forum based CMS's all together which will eliminate a significant portion of the data in my database.

I AM leaning towards Wordpress which is basically a fancy blog with some extra bells and whistles.

Anything out there any of you have tried that you were really impressed with and that you would like to recommend? I'm taking a shift for a coworker, so I'll be on call again this weekend.....probably when it will all "go down".

We use Wordpress for that sort of thing because it's so easily extendable.

I've used Joomla before. It was ok so long as you have some decent CSS and HTML skills. Drupal seems to be a huge favorite too.

The last time I looked at Joomla, I wasn't very impressed with the setup, however, at the time I was looking for a CMS in which I could just cram loads and loads of crap.....basically what I have now.

Will certainly give Drupal a look as I've never even heard of that one....
