Are We Overwhelming Our Kids With Technology Gadgets?

"Young people today live media-saturated lives, spending an average of nearly 6 1/2 hours a day with media," according to a 2005 Kaiser Family Foundation study, "Generation M: Media In the Lives of 8-to18-Year-Olds."

The kids are paying a price by becoming adults all to quick. The fruit is on the vine and it is the result of the ACLU taking God out of schools and public places. High tech just helps the porn and pervs to reach even more children.

I am most overwhelmed by all the technology! My girls are always anticipating what is coming out next! So far they've kept their grades up and been productive people. Their father got an iphone and I thought 2 of them were gonna have a stroke!!! They are so jealous! But I looked at it played with it a little and decided my outdated cell phone works just fine!:)

Yeah, they have cell phones now that can not only make telephone calls, but also surf the web, get your e-mail, play movies and music, snap photos, record short videos, and send text messages.

Micro-technology is getting very impressive, but that's a bit much for a simple gadget.

They are envious. Jealousy is different. Unless they think that their father is neglecting them for his new iPhone.

I agree kids are growing up fast these days, but kids have been growing up fast for as long as I can remember. The world is not going to stop and let them catch up. This is why my kids are Wired and Unwired. They are learning skills that I had no chance to learn in the 60's. Otherwise I feel that we run the risk of digital illiteracy. It's the actual content that sometimes bothers me.
