That is a nice looking ship. It would be so cool to get that thing here and dock it on the river as a museum. My kids would freak every time we drove by.

Great Idea. We drive through Mobile, AL when going to Florida and the kids always gawk at the battleship moored in the harbor. Maybe some day we will actually stop and go inside. Seems like we are always in a total rush when highway driving. Just want to get there.....

That ship in Mobile is awesome. It's airconditioned now which makes it nice. they also have a cool airplane museum there.

I wonder if it would fit through the locks. Wikipedia says it has a 22' draft, can we do that here? It's also 548' long, but I'm pretty sure we can do that.

Good point Joe. The Red can be as deep as 70' feet at spots but then there are sections under 22' deep. I don't think The Super Gater could make it.

I had no idea it was that big. I saw it last night and even next to Cedric Glover it looks big. If somebody mentioned turning it into a casino they'd have that thing here lickety split.

maybe bring it in on barages in pieces and then put it back together? That would be a nice use of tax dollars... LOL.

I actually like lady creams better. I caught over 300 turtles behind my house this year. Not one did I make a pecant out of, but I did find out snapping turtles are much much better than soft shells for eating. Softshells also are lightning fast with the mouth and I have the scars to proove it. It didn't take thunder to get him off but you don't want to freak out and yank to fast because you'll be missing some hand meat. Now my kids have something to talk about and they learned a lesson without them getting hurt. I'm looking for alligator now. PS. I aint forgot the crab boil.
