Volunteering Can Add Years To Your Life
 

Chester Williams has a heart condition, but that doesn't stop him from waking up every morning and volunteering his time to sick kids at Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport. He says visiting with them each day keeps him young and healthy!

Shriners is a great cause to volunteer for. I donate and volunteer services to the Shriners in Shreveport and have for the last 20 years. They help kids from all over and do not turn away any child in need. I do not know if it will add years to my life but it does make me feel like I am contributing to a just and good cause.

I have volunteered for years in the public schools. I miss it now that I have a high schooler and am not needed as much! I also volunteer with a local teen project in BC that is dealing with older kids. It's nice to help out!:)Way to go Chester!:clapbig:
