Is Les Miles Leaving LSU for Michigan?

Coach Lloyd Carr retires- Is Les Miles going to Michigan’s “Big House”?
By Tom Pace, Executive Editor SBLive!

Michigan loses to Appalachian State, and then it’s a domino-effect.
More losses, more talk about Wolverine’s head coach Lloyd Carr leaving.
Many say, he was gone, after what’s being called The Biggest Upset Ever.
(In Division 1A NCAA Football)

Now, Coach Carr announced his retirement this morning. And, waiting is the wings, is the #1 candidate on everyone’s dance card: LSU’s Les Miles.
How does “The Milester” play this one? Obviously, it’s his alma mater.
Obviously, he would love to go back home, for many reasons ($$$$’s)

So, now he’s got to make an “end-run.” Appease the LSU Faithful…
Keep his players focused…and don’t forget his Assistant Coaches:
What about their job security? Who’s going to protect them…and here at the holidays, to boot?

I predicted 42-21 LSU over Ole Miss. It was 41-24. That’s pretty darn close.

Now, LSU has to jump over a snake named “Arkansas” this Friday…
My prediction: 36-33, LSU…(but the Tigers can ill-afford any mistakes).

What’s your thoughts?

LSU doesn't take seconds. Nick would not be welcomed back I predict and Les will be going.

No way Les leaves, especially if they win out this year. Nobody would ever leave LSU soon after winning a national title, that's just crazy talk.

Hello? No one from Michigan has asked him if he wants the job. I personaly don't think they will.
It also does not matter how many times Les says he's not leaving, the media is going to keep it going until Michigan hires someone.

Tubberville will NEVER EVER coach an LSU team!! He's going to A&M.

Well looks like Les is here to stay. At least for another year. Now I have to search for another rationale for his bonehead calls.

The sportscaster on TV3 last night 10PM news said his sources tell him it's a done deal. Miles is going.
Anybody else hear this?

Even though Miles appears to be in a great situation leading the Tigers in a talent-rich area of the country, LSU was concerned enough about him bolting for Michigan that it put a specific clause in his contract to make it an expensive move.

Michigan is the only school mentioned in that clause, which says Miles will not seek or accept employment as Michigan's coach. If Miles does leave LSU to coach the Wolverines, he could have to pay the university up to $1.25 million.

It sure looks that way. Good for Les he needs to stay with a winning team and not go back to a team that loses all the time. I might yet like Les Miles !
