This image is part of the Diver Down photo gallery http://www.shreveport.com/forums/pho...99283e75_l.jpg The knot in the rope is 20 feet down and the bottom is 120 feet down. I shot this from the surface in Grand Cayman on the north wall. They call it the wall because it drop off from 120 feet to 3500 feet deep in to the Cayman Trench. Good place to see real big fish. |

They call Grand Cayman the big aquarium. No much current there so the water is crystal clear. Very nice island and very clean. I will say it is not cheap to vacation there but well worth the money to have such a nice place to dive.

This is only about 25 feet deep and these rays love to eat so divers mean free food. They like to bite on your hair but they are harmless. Now I would not try to tackle one like Steve Irwin :nono: but they are fun to feed.

The Atlantic Manta Ray

This is the largest of the Ray family. I did not shoot this photo but I have seen them while diving and fishing too. They feed off of krill and plankton with that shovel shaped flap that is on the front of them to scoop up food. Very harmless and my so graceful and beautiful to see. Very large. I have seen them do barrel rolls in the water like a ballet.
