This thread should be titled "Apple continues to keep Microsoft from being a complete monopoly and broken apart by the feds like AT&T once upon a time". Apple is good for Microsoft.
two reasons.. one, they'd like to further increase the market share of the browser. and two, I believe the main reason.. They are fixing to release the iPhone, which uses the same Safari Browser. And the way they are opening up developing apps for the iPhone and maintain security and reliability for the iPhone, they are allowing developers to build their apps to run within Safari on the iPhone.

However, Apple's beta of Safari for Windows ain't quite ready for primetime, it was released on Monday, and by tuesday, several vunerabilities were discovered.
