Well first, you hire a lawyer for the illegal alien, for free. Then you give him all the evidence against the alien and see if the lawyer can strike a plea bargain or wiggle off the hook. Then give the alien 10 years worth of appeals. After spending $300k on food, room and board, then take another half million and try to execute him in the most humane way possible, so as not to offend the rights advocates.
Sometimes it sounds like as much punishment for taxpayers and victims than it is for the criminals. Sorry if I sound cynical today. It's just a horrible story and not enough good news around here to talk about.
