I don't care if it is black history, confederate history, world war history, or whatever history, those who do not study and recognize history are doomed to repeat it.

I'm not sure I like the word "celebrate" history. That probably is not the best way to put it. I prefer words like "study", "recognize", "learn", "acknowledge", "document", "reinactment", and so on. Slavery and war should not be "celebrated", but there is no much more to our past than slavery and war. Certainly there are things to celebrate in our past like our independence and the end of a war. But why would someone like The Times Larry English take offense?
