There she is, the USS Spruance (DD-963). I was her sole master helmsman throughout Med Cruise 2002. I stood more hours behind her wheel than any other watch throughout my 6-month cruise. Now THAT is one big vehicle.
I also served on a carrier, but I didn't get certified to pilot that thing. Didn't want to either. |
