I don't know about that. With IPs going as fast as they are, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we eventually run out. The dynamic IP system was great when people had dial-up and computers that weren't online didn't need an IP, but now more and more people are using broadband and dedicated lines, meaning they each use an IP 24/7.

In order to run a website, you need a web host with an IP and a DNS with its own IP. Depending on your network, you might also have an SQL server, a streaming server, a mail server, and who knows what else.

Logically, we have got to run out of addresses at some point.
