When I was in high school (1978) Springlake was where all the well to do folks lived and now it seem like intercity has made it a mixing pot of very dated homes and it is surrounded by apartments on one side car lots on another and crime incubator on the other.
I think most of indigenous Shreveporters have moved out and live south of Bert Kouns. There was a time when that was the place to live and now it is a island and I think the property values have fallen and will continue to fall as the people move south of the loop. One thing we can count on is change.
