Houston, We Have a Problem
"Houston, we have a problem." Nutt leaves Arkansas. "I’ll be Hog-Gone!"
Ole Miss rolls out "The Welcome Wagon" hires Nutt late Monday Night By Tom Pace, Executive Editor, SBLive! November 27th, 2007 When I heard late last night Houston Nutt had resigned as Arkansas’ head coach, my first thought was “I’ll be Hog-Gone.” And, so he was. Even a Triple-OT 50-48 win over arch-rival LSU couldn’t help Nutt. He was apparently “outta there” when those dreaded e-mails (between him and the female sportscaster) came to light, along with other stuff. Just a matter of time. When he made his announcement, he said that it (his resignation) would bring Arkansas together, helping to mend a split among fans, regarding his off-field Activities. Remember, in Arkansas, like Louisiana, football is a religion. Since Nutt arrived on the scene in Fayetteville 10 years ago, he’s been a producer:75-48 overall at Arkansas), taking the Hogs to numerous bowl games, including the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana: Their 1st time in the I-Bowl in 1991, the Razorbacks lost to SEC foe Georgia 24-15. But, the last time the Hogs came to Shreveport, they came away with a big 27-14 win over the Missouri Tigers And, now, according to CNN.SI, he’s been hired to head up the faltering Ole Miss program, that was winless in the SEC this season. Nutt replaces Ed Orgeron, the Rebs head coach, who was fired over the weekend, A formal announcement is supposed to be made later today. Given the Rebels current record, where else can.Houston go, but up. And who said he was Nutts? |

Isaac, what do you have against LSU? You seem very happy when they loose or when something happens to them.

I think that some of us just are not die hard fans especially since we didn't attend school at that particular LA university. My father reacts the same way as Isaac's does. It's worrisome to watch my dad watch the game!
