@#$@#$%#$ Dr. Pepper Commercials
I swear, I don't think I can listen to the Tom Jones themed diet Dr. Pepper, or the endzone dancing fatboy Dr. Pepper commercials ONE MORE TIME.

When I was a kid, I remember billboards around town for "Hot Dr Pepper" served with lemon during the wintertime.... I actually tried it and liked it... But it turned out to be a very brief fad...

I can't watch "regular" TV anymore because commercials send me into a blind rage. Why would anyone not own a Tivo?

This one still makes me laugh! Guess because he reminds me of my brother and his silly named pooches!

sporting events are the best. 2 seconds between plays and I still get to finish at the same time as everyone else.

I just like to watch them "live". I used to watch prerecorded tennis, and sometimes f1, sometimes soccer, but knowing it was already all over, I wasn't able to stay interested. I end up forwarding to the end. Takes the suspense out of it too.

There are a ton of "Dr. _______" imitations, but one I recall drinking because of a book connection... Dr. Nut - Ignatius J. Reilly's favorite drink from Confederacy of Dunces. Got it from a vending machne on the Navy base in Pensacola (they also had beer in vending machines on base -cool huh?)

Wait about an hour and then catch up by skipping commercials. That way the game ends about the same time you catch up, it's never already over while you're watching it. |
