Nothing against the mayor.. but for his own health and safety, the first thing he should do is go on a major diet :-)
Maybe he could eat a subway everyday downtown, and lose 100 lbs or so, be the next Subway "guy" |

While I have no problem with Cedric Glover winning the mayoral election if he is the best man for the job, I do have a problem with making it a racial issue. I haven't heard much of anything outside of "he's the first black mayor of Shreveport". Really, I don't care if he's black, yellow, red, pink with purple polkadots. Can he do the job? The hype is over the color of his skin, not over his qualifications. If it were the first white mayor in Shreveport, heads would roll.

Mayor
It is impossible for race to not be an issue. The race of the mayor directly affects the job.

It was a race about race from the start. I have to say he seems like a nice enough guy but can he get a grip on crime in Shreveport ? This election may be viewed as a open door for more crime to those who do the crimes. Will he be a puppet for the casino people or will he hold the line only time will tell. We
have four years to find out. The race card is one of the major cards for the far left. Isaac |

Old news here
There has not been a Mayor in Shreveport or Bossier that did not have to answer to the people that paid to get them elected. Not the people that voted for them but that little inside circle of donors. Jerry had his people and Cedric has his. I think that Glover might just do a good job. The statistics will tell in a year and then in four years we will know the facts. I wish him well and the people of Shreveport too.
