Bruce Springsteen's 'Magic' Has Anti-War Message

Bruce Springsteen has already made his political feelings clear in the last couple of years. Remember his Ted Koppel interview? The series of concerts — Vote for Change — he did to support John Kerry?

On his new album, "Magic," Springsteen jumps right into the fray again. In a dramatic new REM-ish anthem called "Last to Die," he sings: "Who'll be the last to die for a mistake/The last to die for a mistake/Whose blood will spill, whose heart will break/Who'll be the last to die for a mistake."

The mistake is clearly the Iraq war. "We don't measure the blood we've drawn anymore," he sings. "We just stack the bodies outside the door."

While Bruce is bitoching about the war maybe he should listen to this song.

There is a very good reason we fight the enemy. That is to protect people like Bruce and others so they can have their freedoms. Bruce is a fool just because he has "some" good music does not mean he understands how important it is to support our troops and that does not mean feel sorry for them but support them !!

It's all about Bush and Halliburton and big oil. Now milks gone up to almost $5 a gallon and I ca't get my kitchen light to come on, and a big ole coon got under my house and is stirring up a racket trying to eat my cats. So Bruce can kiss my A$$.

I've been turned off by Bruce and his politics in recent years as well. But he's not alone, the majority of Hollywood and the entertainment world feel as he does, but that still doesn't make it "right!"

I do not think we are doing a disservice either but bashing our troops and placing the DNC agenda ahead of winning this war is wrong. Yea I know he is a good ole boy from the upper east coast with is social elitist views and his bleeding heart attitude suck. I do like a few of his songs and he is playing to his kind of crowd kink of like the Dixie Chicks. Backlash 08 is just around the corner for the Boss and his counterparts.

Hollywood would like to think they call the shots in this country but they are so very wrong. Bruce can only see the tree in front of him and not the forest in large. The Boss

Call animal control on the coon. They should be able to get it, if not try two other guys: Smith and Wesson.

Some of the reasons that milk has gotten so expensive are
The cost of transportation has gone up because the cost of gas has gone up.
This is likely to continue because the oil fields in the souther Gulf of Mexico have been hit by another tropical storm/huricane this week, and many other reasons too.
Another thing is that so many farmers are growing corn for "biofuel."
This is very problematic. The "greenies" have convinced us all that ethenol is a good answer to good old petrol. Well it turns out that "biofuels" puts out more pollutants than gas and if you live in the northern states, if you still have any in your gas tank when it freezes outside, you have a big problem. And in the southern states, the heat causes evaporation and water is the biproduct, which again is a big problem.
And again dedicating farm land to growing corn for fuel takes up space where we previously grew food for livestock and people. The government doesn't help by subsidising the farmers to grow certain things or not to grow certain things.
For me anyway, there is no easy answer. We each have to do what we can given what we have. To expect more is un-American. And don't listen to those socialist liberals -- driving their large SUVs and flying in private jets -- who are always spouting, "The masses should be taking public transportation, putting their heat on 65 degrees in the winter and leaving the lights off."
The money that I earn, I will spend as I see fit.

WOW! Where did that come from? Oh, yah, the price of milk.
Does chocolate milk come from chocolate cows?

Have a nice day.
