I'm goin' nuts!

Does anyone out there know of any place in Shreveport/Bossier area wher ei can hear some good LIVE Irish music? There were several Irish pubs in Dallas where a different Irish band was playing each night of the week. I used to play the bodhran at their open sessions, and now I'm going through withdrawl.

Help me obe wan kenobe, you're my only hope!

Well there is "Bilbo Baggins" (the only Irish hobbit in town!) at the corner of Old Minden and Benton Rd. This ain't Big D I'm afraid..... Maybe pop in the Titanic DVD and plan a trip to Dallas. In my mind, I view Shreveport as a distant suburb of the Dallas Metroplex. 180 minutes goes by pretty fast with an iPod.

I'm not sure, but the Noble Savage on Texas St. has quite a bit of live music. Or at least it used to, haven't been there in awhile myself. Another user on this board called "Buck the Big Man" had the following to say at one point:

Quote:
As far as Irish goes, the last Thurs of the month at the Noble Savage is an open Celtic/Irish jam. I also highly recommend the Hieland Festival held in April in Minden.
If I hear about anything for sure, I'll let you know.
