I would like to think it is about public service. However looking at wanna-be-gov-nuh John Breaux's multi-million dollar mansion in Maryland sorta makes me doubt that.

Then their credentials will speak for themselves. Bush has degrees from Harvard and Yale, and served as Governor of Texas before being elected President twice.

So what? So the wealthy have an alarming way of gettin involved in politics and becoming our "leaders". Lemme break that down into managable pieces for ya...alot of dumbasses with fat bank accounts and too much time on their hands end up "leading" our city/state/country! The man with the gold rules There are many people that come from money and start way up the ladder and will never be able to see the plight of the working man. Their daddy or sugar daddy has made them into kept people in many cases with not much on the ball other than easy money.

Amen to that. Would suit me just fine, if we could take the money out of politics. as it is now.. the corporations with Ungodly amounts of money, have so much influence

Would ANYBODY in their right mind argue that these people's main qualifications for the job are that they had alot of time on their rather leisurely hands and came from privileged, monied families with political agendas and legacies?
