pupil's parent arrested over false address

Now this is silly. Instead of arresting her just send the child back where he is suppose to go.

Techincally, she was arrested for lying on an affidavit. I'm wondering why it was necessary to lie in the first place. One school is as good as another, right? Does that school enroll only bigwigs or rich kids or something?

That happens all the time right here in BC and S'port! Say parents want their kid to play football at a certain school and they aren't in that school zone.
They usually use a grandparent or friend's address that is in that zone and pretend that child lives there.

That may be, but when we registered my grandchild we had to show utility bills in my daughter's name with the same address on them.
