A Walkway Could Solve The Problem On North Market
The mother of a 9-year-old boy buried only this past weekend appeared before a Louisiana House committee Monday morning to ask the state to build an elevated crosswalk over the Shreveport street where he was killed June 11.

You know what would also work? Not letting your nine year old kid cross a 5-lane state highway by himself

so correct me if I'm wrong.. but people live along side all sorts of highways around here.
I just don't get it.. I grew up in places where the traffic certainly wasn't as busy or on a highway, but my father drilled into my head from my earliest memories.. LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET! |

Does anyone really think that people will walk a extra quarter mile to walk up stairs and back down again ? They will still cross in the middle of traffic and still get run over. It is sad but true. Yea spend some more of my tax dollars on a monkey cage that will not even be used
