Post What Will New Orleans Look Like In 10 Years?

"In 2015 New Orleans will look new. All of the flooded buildings will be rebuild. New Orleans will be bigger. They will have new schools and new parks. ... Many of the houses will be raised so the won't flood again."
--Jozeff Lee, 10, who is still waiting to return to his New Orleans East home

Ok, now this is just a stab in the dark, but I'm guessin it'll look like a giant public toilet that somebody forgot to flush. Oh, I'm sorry, its already that way.

If the WTC buildings had been rebuilt after their destruction, it would have sent a strong and clear message to the extreme muslim world. If the WTC buildings were not rebuilt, what makes anyone think New Orleans will be rebuilt? What message will that send? That our engineers are no comparison to Dutch engineers? I'm sorry for being so jaded by government, but if you leave it to them, we will get a few lights and a memorial to symbolize what New Orleans used to be.
