Tim Greening, the introspective funny bone of The Times, collapsed at his mother's home in Haughton today and died. He was 38.

I literally gasped out loud when I saw this in the Times this morning! Tim was funny kind of reminded me of our resident Kramer! Quirky sense of humor and telling stories of things we've all gone through with a comedic twist! I will miss reading his stories.

Whoa..how sad! I always read his column. He was a very good southern writer who reminded me a lot of Lewis Grizzard. Too bad we don't have more writers like him at the Times! Anybody know what happened? He sure was young! His work will be missed!

Yeah, I had just gotten off work around 5:30 in the am and had wandered into Walgreens and picked up the paper...I know it stopped me in my tracks. This guy was good, and I know we'll all miss him.
