This is a good time of year to be in the woods
Fishing is slow this time of year except for maybe White Perch or Catfish. I would say stay in the woods untill the first of March. Then hire a guide for the first few trips to a certin lake of choice then learn that lake and do the same to next lake. Clarkes marina would be a good place to call for info on guide services.
