Post The Democrats Are Out Of Control!

Pelosi and Lantos last week returned from a high-profile trip to the Middle East which included a stop in Damascus to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad. During their travel, which was roundly criticized by the media and occurred against the recommendations from the Bush administration, Lantos commented that the congressional delegation "had an alternative Democratic foreign policy."

It seems like Ms. Pelosi is waiting around on the Bush administration's recommendations just so she can do the exact opposite and contradict the president and his administration at every turn. She seems to be on a major power trip at the expense of the president.

Ive been givin this situation some thought, and I dont think she could get away with what amounts to treason unless Bush was ALLOWING it to happen. Pretty shrewd political move, when ya think about it. Give Pelosi and the Dems just enough rope to hang themselves.

Highly unlikely, especially since the White House has openly been against her actions from the very beginning.

Now the question is where does she get the authority to "officially" represent the United States in foreign affairs? The people didn't vote on it, Congress didn't vote on it, the President didn't approve of it, and to the best of my knowledge, it's not a special privilege of the Speaker.

So while it's hard for me to say her actions were/are treasonous, I do fully believe she willingly and with full knowledge exceeded her authority and should be punished thusly.

That woman is a bat out of hell. I do think she could be key in handing the DNC a very large defeat in 08. Al you may just be right on the mark. I sure hope the rope gets real tight when she hits the end of it.
