Power House Fighting Champions “Forces of Destruction”
Comes to Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium

Shreveport, Louisiana:

It was a Press Conference fit for a “King”…except, Don wasn’t there! This was all for Dana Pitcher Productions Nationally-Televised MMA Event “Forces of Destruction”, to be held December 7th,, 2007, in Shreveport’s Historic Municipal Auditorium, where Elvis was first introduced to the world, on its stage at the Louisiana Hayride in 1954.

Dana Pitcher and Ernest Palmisano, Jr., served up the finest Creole cuisine, at Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant, complete with Ernest’s world-famous marinated crab-claws…then Pitcher topped it off with the knock-out blow: The announcement of the upcoming unprecedented year of 11 nationally televised Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Boxing matches beginning February, 2008, with alternating events monthly thru November of next year.

Amidst a backdrop of top MMA & boxing promoter, match-makers, and professional fighters, Dana Pitcher connected with the 1st combination: a one-two punch of the Hottest Sport in the World “MMA” followed by the sport of boxing, now to make a resurgence in the South, if Dana Pitcher Productions has anything to say about it.

A former Commissioner of the Louisiana State Boxing and Wrestling Commission, Alvin Topham, now an ISKA representative, was in attendance, and he said that he likes the type of events Pitcher produces. Its time for promoters to come to the forefront to bring the fans the top-quality, professional, family events they deserve.

Titled, “The Forces of Destruction”, the 14-bout card to be staged in Shreveport, Louisiana, on December 7th, will be nationally televised to more than 50 plus million homes on a combined cable network. Pitcher has previously produced multiple nationally-televised events over the past years, on Comcast, Cox, DirectTV and ESPN, to name a few.

Two of the local fighters looking to move up the Pro MMA Ranks were there:
Shreveport’s Blake “Trouble” Franklin and Bossier’s Christian Fulgium. Franklin recently turned pro, and has being trained by World Champion Kick Boxer, Charleton Young, also from Shreveport.

Fulgium is a former State Wrestling Champion, turned Professional MMA fighter, inspired by his older brother in Benton, Louisiana. Now he’s looking to deliver the knock-out punch to his opponent on December 7th.

Amidst the glare of spotlights at Downtown Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium, where Don King once promoted three time world champion Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins many years ago…Dana Pitcher now comes to the ring, bringing a breath of clean air to the sport of MMA and Boxing, that has long suffered from B.O. in Louisiana.

‘We’re here to help promote Shreveport-Bossier, the Ark-La-Tex…give the fans the Best Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing Shows possible,” said Pitcher, “…and, most of all, give the fighters their chance to be seen all over the world as they fight their way to the top.”

Executive Director of the Municipal Auditorium, Carl Hasten, said it best: “This is a chance for the Municipal to become Vegas in the world of MMA”and Boxing and, he continued “we’ll get national publicity being associated with Dana Pitcher Productions.”

Pitcher’s “Match-Maker”, Gil Guillory stood next to Pitcher and echoed his sentiments about “The Forces of Destruction” being filled with the best professional and up-and-coming fighters on the circuit.
