I never call in sick, but I rarely get sick. Late, maybe- But not with my current job, the phone is permanently attached to my @$$ On call......This is definately the WORST job I've ever had, but the $$$ is great

I forget who said that, maybe Will Rogers. Anyway, at my business, when you're sick, (or vacation etc.) The "powers that be" screw your area up so bad it takes as long as you were gone to fix it. Easier just to work. |

On the other hand, for years I held a position with this company where I was the one who received the call......
My all time favorite was from the wife of a salesman who had left early the day before to go to court. She said, "Gerald won't be in for a while, he's been unavoidably detained for 60 to 90 days. |
