I agree, that the "changing" of time does screw everyone up, and I do think it's stupid. However, this next time change is the one that I like, for it means when I get home from work, it's not already dark. There will be a few hours of daylight left.

Well, I know that daylight savings time is used to make better use of the longer Summer days. Back in Benjamin Franklin's time (when he suggested the concept), men were spending money on oil for their lamps everyday. Franklin figured that by switching the hour during the Summer months to make use of the longer daylight, everyone would save on the cost of lighting their home.

1. It's "Daylight Saving Time," there is no "s" at the end of "Saving."

2. Ben Franklin did not invent/suggest/think of DST. He suggested people wake up earlier to take advantage of the summer light, but he didn't suggest changing the time.

3. It saves energy.

How does it save energy ? I still do the same thing on a 24 hour cycle that I did with out DST I would think that energy savings would be because of climate and not what time I get out of bed. no "s" love the wit !

Have to agree on this one.. I probably have a house full of lights on as we speak and I'm not even home.

I just like the extended daylight into the evenings we will have after we 'spring' forward. Then I say let's just keep it that way from now on.

It saves energy by moving activity to times when more natural light is available. Dayligth Saving Time saves the United States between 0.7% and 1.0% of its total energy consumption each year.
