2403 Americans dead 12/7/41 Pearl Harbor
I know most of the folks on this forum know that today is Pearl Harbor day. There has been very little in the media about this and I can tell as the years go by that the new generation has lost sight of the price paid by so many fine Americans. We are loosing our WWII vets by the day now and our freedom was and is built off of their victory over evil. Now after 911 we do not have the resolve to fight the good fight against terror. The left wing has been taken over by the socialist movement of try to buy friends and run from
trouble. We need a George Patton, Bull Halsey or Chester Nemitz at this time when evil is back on its feet and ready to deal us some more pain. God bless the men and women (WACS) of WWII. Isaac |

Well you had me there for a bit.. yes, let us not forget about our WWII vets and the sacrifices they made. Agree 100 % with you on that one.. however, do not confuse the War in Iraq with ANYONE's resolve to fight the war on Terror.. because one doesn't have anything to do with the other.. Whether we are in Iraq or not, these people are gonna blow themselves up until someONE takes control of the situation.. as long as we are there playing COPS, it's going to be nothing but chaos.. sure let's head back into Afghanistan, and continue to blow up the Taliban and Al Quaida and lets find bin laden etc etc etc.. you started off with a good sentiment.. and then had to blow it with a cheap shot.

That was NOT a cheap shot !! It is the forces of evil that we are still fighting and to think that Russia was on Hitler's side until Hitler changed his mind. Russia is backing Iran and many others that are fighting us now !!! Time has changed but the same people we fought then we are fighting now in that Russia has backed them all ! Cheap is the cut bait and run policy that will start in January of 07 !!

The war in Iraq is just one front
One front on the war on terror. The war on terror has been going on starting with WWI and still goes on and to retreat is to give them (evil) terrorist a victory. We hold our ground or we retreat there is no kiss and make up with these guys they have plans to wipe out the west make no mistake. I will write more tomorrow must sign off for now. I will be back and I respect your opinion please do not take it personal and I welcome your comments or anybody else pro or con.

I was born on Pearl Harbor Day so I have a particular facination with this day in our history. I stayed up watching Pearl Harbor documentaries last night. My father is a WWII vet and I would like to thank all vets for their defense of our country and way of life. I am not ashamed to call myself an American or a Capitalist. (even though I like Sushi) In fact, I am proud to be here and enjoy the benefits of our forefathers couragous sacrifices. To live otherwise, would be a disrespect to what they fought for.

I certainly don't wish wars on ANY generation, but what all these folks went through.. I don't know if it's the experience of all that, that makes them the great generation that they are.. or were they already 'great' :-) |

Quick story in that regard. My sister just had a routine screening (to look for polyps) and was in an old operating room at WK. She said to the nurse "This room looks old". The nurse replied, "These two rooms were the original delivery rooms at the old tri-state hospital (now WK). My sister replied "I was born in this room!". |
