Unfortunately Stacy Love your dog comes with a really nasty rap. No home owner is going to likely rent a house to you knowing you have pits due to liability issues. I wouldn't. You know your dog but the fact is since the landlord does not know you nor your dogs, they are simply not going to take the risk.
Most of us on here are pet owners and pet lovers. We understand your love for your pet. Good luck!

anyone who knows me, knows I love dogs. Couldn't imagine not having one.
But if I was a home owner, and I was renting out my house. I would definitely think twice, about letting someone move in with a couple of large dogs like that, regardless of breed. bizarre I know. Not that I wouldn't even mind having a couple of large dogs myself. it's someone else's large dogs that I would have a problem with. |

We never rent property to people with pets, ever. I don't know why any landlord would.

its not in me to say never I know it may be difficult and take more time but I will find a place it is not impossible and yes thats what security deposits are for.Just for the record I have been a landlord in the past I must say that we were among the lucky and we never denied pets or had any problems or damage done.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but my neighbor moved out about a month ago. I think he lived in a rental house because most of the houses on my block are rentals. He had a pitbull too, so I would assume the landlord doesn't mind.
I just don't know if the house is back up for rent. I can look into it for you, Stacy. How many people are you looking for a house for?

You've obviously never been a landlord. |

Hey thanks alot Anime it would have been cool being your neighbor lol but I found a place yesterday before lunchtime it was the first number I called off my list! Its not a house, house but it will do and I like the location its not all off in town its in rural area its a mobile home and its not in a trailer park(this witch doesnt like trailer parks) and it has plenty of trees for this lil country girl.Couldnt beat the price neither. So we now have a new place to lay our heads and still be able to save for when we are looking to buy some land and build a permanant home.So just like the words that i say yesterday never say never!!This is one happy lil witch LOL |

lols i myself have been a landlord so i do know the pros and cons when you have a tenant with pets big or small but like I said in my previous post I was lucky and never had any problems or damages done and I do plan on doing it again one day in the future and again i will not discriminate against pets nor the breed of dog.
