Post A Frightening Picture Of Al-Qaida's Annihilation Of America

The newly released book "The Day of Islam: The Annihilation of America and the Western World," (Prometheus Books) paints a frightening picture of al-Qaida's nuclear ambitions — one every American must read.

Mueller seems to confirm this claim of multiple attacks, saying both New York and Washington would be likely targets. Already Williams says the U.S. government has Washington webbed by "choke" points to detect nuclear material.
This is news ?

Don't forget the "bird flu" is just around the corner and that's gonna kill us all

I can't begin to estimate what would follow if this actually happened. The UN is in New York, so if that is destroyed, I would hope it would likely tick a lot of countries off that would back us up.

I am not a nuclear physicist, but I'm hoping we have low earth orbit satellites that can detect faint particle emissions on the ground. It would be great if they could map out all nuclear activity in the country but I'm afraid that there is so much legitimate nuclear activity that this would be impossible. Maybe they could segregate various particles from specific sources used for nuclear weapons, but that wouldn't help much for a dirty bomb where any source could be used.

This isn't like bird flu or SARS which are diseases and do not discriminate and may or may not ever hit America. Al Qaida has hit the WTC twice and clearly boasts they will hit us again. I don't care if it is out of fear, or out of prudence, or logic, or whatever, I think we should do everything in our power to prevent that from happening.

I'm not so sure. Last night I heard a statistic on the news that only 20% of insurgents in Iraq are from Iran. The other 80% are homegrown right there in Iraq. We might have to bomb Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, and even parts of Israel, which is why it isn't happening. I wish we could round up all the suicide bombers in one country then light a match. Would be nice.

Get some brass about you rhertz. Iran is the main problem and yes Syria and the others have issues too. We take out there intra structure and chaos will bring the Mullahs down real quick. They want to bring it to America then there we bomb them back a couple hundred years. They have had it coming for the last thirty years so lets get IT ON !
