I want my next City Councilman to be ______ and here's why:

Tell me why you're going to vote for a specific candidate over the others. There's got to be a better reason for voting for these people than "I like their advertising signs better" or "I think they're a better looking person" than the other candidates.

This is a perfect place to sound off on why you think a person should win the race, and for you to get your point across to a group of other interested people in Shreveport.

One thing I ask - if you make a point about a candidate's stance on something, please be prepared to back it up with statements by that candidate in regards to what you're talking about.

If you're voting strictly on race lines, take that somewhere else, because we're not interested in that here (regardless of which side of that line you're on).

For this thread, please post what council race you're talking about - i.e. district A, B, C, D, etc.

In district "D" my vote is for the Robertson lady. I have watched her and she seems to be a good change for the counsil. She has acted fiscally responsible
with last years budget making cuts to some things that probably needed cut.
I'm willing to give her a chance. Since she has been there I haven't heard any knock down drag outs like it was with Gibson. I think she is doing a good job for us.

That Wooley guy just is to be be too busy with his personal life and business to really do a good job. He has 4 kids and from what I understand he manages two business's. Seems like his plate is full. I have also heard he is a relative of the Insurance Commissioner "Robert Wooley" who mismanaged the position and had to resign leavinf us with Donnelson. Something just is not right in his camp.

I have bet Cynthia Robertson before, and she is a genuine nice person. I voted for her.

Vote for Robertson! She's the real deal!

I have been looking at the finance reports the candidates are supposed to be filing about their campaigns. Seems like everybody is following the rules, but Wooley Buger. His campaign apparently hasn't cost him anything, at least that is what he has filed.

I have also heard of some unethical things he did during election day.

If he can't follow the rules now, what is he going to do if he gets into office?!!
