TBelle, my nephew was a LSU BR student and as he entered his apartment, thugs came up from behind him and stuck a gun to his head and another gun to his ribs. They stole his wallet and SUV and they haven't been caught yet. This happened about 6 months ago. Whose to say these aren't the same thugs?

Hey, what have I been sayin for years? Everyone, I mean everyone should have a concealed carry permit and a handgun on their person! Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I dont go anywhere without mine, the only time I dont have it with me is when I shower or go to bed, and even then I still have one under my pillow. Of course, the bad guys sometimes get the drop on ya, but if ya seize the moment when theyre distracted, you can turn the tables on them. There are no safe cities, people. Home invasions are for real and they occur every damn day of the year. And for those of you who dont lock your doors, let this be a wakeup. If you and the people ya love aint ready for the dirtnap, get the permits, get the guns, practice with em, and wear em. This is America, ya dont have to be a victim.

Oh, I thought you said this was a good example of someone that was a victim but shouldn't have been because they should have been armed. The victims in this case were not American citizens, they were foreign students in the country legally.
