Shreveport City Council Votes Against Thrifty Liquor Store on Bert Kouns

Shreveport’s City Council meeting lasted into the wee hours of the morning
(nearly midnight, Tuesday, December 11th) with the major debate coming over
whether or not to approve or deny the zoning for a new Thrifty Liquor Store to be built on Bert Kouns, in southwest Shreveport.

In the end, the council voted 4-3, against zoning for Thrifty Liquor’s new store on Bert Kouns. Now, there’s the question if Roland Toups will appeal.
