I may have already commented on this picture.. but just look at that pic. it's freakin' Deadwood right here in Shreveport. I love it. So in 1868, would shreveport of had Telegraph yet ?

apparently Shreveport was connected to Houston, TX via telegraph in 1853

LOL, Interesting. How fast is morse code? I'm guessing the "baud rate" would be somewhere between 10 and 30 bps (encoded/compressed) That was the first "Internet".
When did the Titanic sink? They were still using morse code at that time, although it was wireless.... |
